'The Voice's Karla Davis: 'I just wanted to stare at Adam' - video

The Voice contestant Karla Davis has joked that she was "worried" when Adam Levine turned around during her audition because she just wanted to stare at him.
The acoustic country singer became a member of Team Adam on Monday night (February 20) after her blind audition performance of 'If I Die Young' by The Band Perry.

Speaking to social media correspondent Christina Milian backstage, she said: "[Adam] is awesome. He gave me a hug. I was worried when he turned around because all I wanted to do was stare at him and smile!"

She added: "I was nervous because it's a huge deal. It's 90 seconds that can change your life! After Adam turned around I was just doing my thing and trying to be as normal as I could."

In a blog post on the official website, she added: "Adam turned around early... and all I could do was smile like a little school-girl (but let's be honest, what would you do if THE Adam Levine turned his chair for you within the first 10 seconds???)

"I literally almost forgot to keep singing because I was cheesing SO HARD! Anyway, I got through the song and the coaches had very nice things to say, then Adam got out of his chair to give me a hug (and this is when I was praying that my knees wouldn't buckle). Oh, and ladies, he smells just as good as he looks! :)"

The Voice airs Mondays at 8/7c on NBC
